About Mike Birbiglia: The Old Man and the Pool

“Mike Birbiglia is a true star” (The Times) and his hit show The Old Man & The Pool, currently playing at Wyndham’s Theatre, has just won rave reviews.

**** “Birbiglia’s comedy is not to die for, but to live for” The Guardian “As a comic storyteller, Mike Birbiglia is a finely tuned, perfectly engineered Rolls-Royce.” Chortle

**** “Birbiglia has a sublime lightness of touch, gliding seamlessly from anecdote to anecdote...as the narrative builds to an exquisite finish.” Evening Standard

The Old Man & The Pool is a hilarious reminder for all of us recovering from failing bodies and a flailing world that laughter is indeed the best medicine. Chronicling his coming-of-middle-age story Mike asks the big questions: Why are we here? What’s next? What happens when the items at the doctor’s office that you thought were decorative become functional? This tale of life, death, and a highly chlorinated YMCA pool resonates with audiences aged 12 to 112. Get your tickets now. The Old Man & The Pool must end 7 October.

Important Information Children under 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticketholder who is at least 18. Children under 4 will not be admitted. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. You may not bring food/drink purchased elsewhere.

See it if You're looking for an entertaining evening, funny and yet very heartfelt. Many similarities with stand up comedy.

Don’t see it if You're looking for a big scale West End show.
